Fiori Launchpad setup
In this blog, I will show you how to configure Fiori app for the UI5 application I have created in first blog First SAPUI5 / OData Application
We have seen that UI5 application that we create in eclipse are stored as BSP applications in SAP. Find BSP application in SICF as shown below:
Let’s create launchpad in transaction LPD_CUST..
Add our BSP application as URL in next step:
Define semantic objects using transaction /UI2/SEMOBJ
Open Fiori Launchpad using transaction /UI2/FLP (Note: Fiori launchpad should be opened in administrator mode)
- Create Catalog
- Create Target mapping
- Create Tile (as App Launcher # Static)
- Create Group and link catalog to it
After logging into Fiori Launchpad in administrator mode, Choose Catalogs and click Create button at the bottom
Populate Title and ID on the popup:
Create Target mapping as shown below:
In the configuration page, Populate the semantic object we created in /UI2/SEMOBJ and the launchpad we have created before. (Note : Action is DISPLAY in our case)
Save the configuration..In the next step, create tile (App Launcher# Static)
Link the semantic object with the tile (in its configuration)
Save the configuration..
Finally, Create Group and link it to Catalog
Finally, we have made all launchpad settings:
To visualize our new UI5 application as an Fiori App, lets add the catalog and group to a PFCG role and assign it to front end user:
When I login to Fiori Launchpad:
“Flight Information” App is available and when we click it..
Data is displayed as shown below:
